Zinfandel House History
Bette, a former secondary school teacher, and
George, a former geologist, wine writer, and wine
educator, moved to Napa Valley in 1980 where they
were part owners and principals of a small winery.
Zinfandel House was built that year, and they
opened it as a Bed and Breakfast the following
spring. George has taught wine appreciation classes
at Napa Valley College and has written a wine
column for the St. Helena Star for many years.They
enjoy food and wine, and more importantly, they
enjoy people. This makes having a Bed and Breakfast
so rewarding for them and an enjoyable and unique
experience for their guests.
